SheWorks Vocational Training Program was launched in November 2024 with a mission to empower disadvantaged women by equipping them with practical skills for sustainable livelihoods. Recognizing the barriers many women face in accessing stable employment, SheWorks provides comprehensive hands-on training across multiple disciplines to enhance job readiness, foster entrepreneurship, and promote sustainable practices.

Training Programs Offered(Myanmar)

Explore our hands-on training programs for skill development and growth.

Mushroom & Cultivation

This training empowers women with the skills to grow and cultivate mushrooms at home or on a small scale. Participants learn practical techniques for setup, maintenance, and harvesting—offering a sustainable source of income and nutrition.

Agriculture Training

Our Agriculture Training equips women with practical knowledge in sustainable farming, gardening, and crop management. Participants gain hands-on experience to grow their own food, improve livelihoods, and contribute to community food security.

Hair & Beauty Training

We offer practical Hair and Beauty Training designed especially for women, covering hairstyling, skincare, and makeup. Our program empowers women with real-world skills to build confidence and pursue careers in the beauty industry.

Jewlery Training

Our Jewelry Training program equips women with the skills to design, craft, and repair various types of jewelry. Through hands-on sessions, participants learn creative techniques and gain the confidence to start their own jewelry business or pursue a career in the field.

F&B & Housekeeping Training

This training program empowers women with essential skills in food & beverage service and professional housekeeping. Participants gain hands-on experience in hospitality standards, customer service, and hygiene practices—preparing them for careers in hotels, restaurants, or domestic work.

Crochet & Macrame Training

Our training program teaches women the art of crochet and macrame, turning threads into beautiful handmade products. Participants learn techniques to create home décor, accessories, and crafts—opening doors to creative expression and income-generating opportunities.

Pipe Cleaner Floral Art Training

This creative training program teaches women how to craft beautiful floral designs using pipe cleaners. It’s a fun, hands-on way to develop artistic skills and create unique decorative items for gifts, events, or small business opportunities.

Green Roots Eco-Tourism Project Summary

The Green Roots Eco-Tourism Project, implemented by RecyGlo (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in support and development in partnership with the ASEAN Foundation and Maybank Foundation, aimed to empower disadvantaged women in Chiang Mai through hands-on training in sustainable agriculture, eco-tourism, and green entrepreneurship.

Over a two-week program, the initiative provided comprehensive workshops, field visits, financial literacy sessions, and youth-led community engagement activities. Supported by ASEAN Youth Volunteers, the project strengthened women’s livelihood skills, enhanced environmental awareness, and fostered cross-cultural collaboration across the ASEAN region. Through the combined efforts of implementing organizations and community partners, the project successfully promoted inclusive economic opportunities, environmental stewardship, and sustainable community development.

Ma Thin Htet Htet San, the founder of Hay T Sat, contributed to educational and awareness training for IDP camps in Taunggyi. After attending the Jewelry class from SheWorks, she provided training to war-affected civilians: two from Kayah, two from Monywa, two from Thanlyin, and two from Yangon.

Ma Mi Zin Tun, a housewife from Tikekyi Township, attended the Mushroom Batch 3 training at SheWorks. After completing the training, she built a small mushroom farm in the empty space at her house, achieving her goal of a successful micro-business and supporting her family.
